The AgeSpan Golf Classic offers the perfect combination of fresh air and good company for a great cause.
This year, AgeSpan friends and supporters raised over $100,000 for the DiStefano Family Care Fund, which helps older adults cover unexpected or emergency expenses. The fund helps fill the gaps when other sources of income fall short. Over the years, it’s been used to help older adults pay for moving expenses to a handicapped accessible apartment, unexpected prescriptions, or even repairing a pair of eyeglasses.
Proceeds from the AgeSpan Golf Classic will be used to ensure this fund continues to be available for those who need it most – when they need it most.
“Every swing, every sponsorship, and every act of generosity helps us take another step toward our mission of supporting and improving the lives of the more than 80,000 older adults we serve,” AgeSpan CEO Joan Hatem-Roy told participants.
“Thank you to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, staff, board members, and community partners for making this day such an incredible success.”
We hosted 120 golfers who participated in this year’s sold-out event, which took place on June 1, 2026, at the Haverhill Country Club. Tournament sponsors this year were Rockland Trust and Guardian Healthcare.
The day featured hole-in-one and putting contests, as well as a new feature this year – an air cannon. Golfers capped off the day with a BBQ dinner and raffles prizes generously donated by local businesses.
Many thanks to all those who participated and congratulations to this year’s winners!
