The Personal and Home Care Aid State Training (PHCAST)

Offered by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, this free, online course prepares individuals to work as an agency-based home care aide. The training is available in English, Spanish/Español and Haitian Creole/Kreyòl ayisyen. Key concepts and in-depth knowledge of related topics and responsibilities of home care aides will be presented. This course is self-paced and takes approximately 37 hours to complete. Upon successful completion of the course, a Certificate of Completion will be issued.

Non-Contracted Providers

Interested in becoming a Home Care service provider?

AgeSpan contracts with service providers who work directly with the people we serve. The Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) determines the types of services that AgeSpan can offer. Services are provided to individuals in the Commonwealth’s Home Care Program, funded by the EOEA. Our next Request for Proposal (RFP) process will open in 2024.

EOEA is responsible for approving agencies interested in providing Homemaker/Personal Care Services. For more information, click here.
