Latino Caregiver Event! Evento para Cuidadores Latinos!
Yes it is that time of year again! October brings Pumpkins, Pumpkin coffee, football, sweaters and beautiful fall foliage to the New England area. We have one more exciting event to add to the fall in the Merrimack Valley, Our Latino Caregiver Event. On October 28th from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Lawrence Senior Center for the fourth year in a row the Merrimack Valley Alzheimer’s Association Partnership along with Lawrence Senior Center has facilitated the event where caregivers can get information and education but will also have a chance to relax and enjoy themselves.
This year’s theme is based on the Benefit of Music. Caregivers will be able to listen to Musical performances, take an Art/Craft class, and watch presentation on the Music and Memory Program. Caregivers will also be able to take pictures in fun photo booth, get a chair massage and get information from local area providers. Materials and presentation will be in Spanish. There will be raffle prizes and also chances also to connect with other caregivers and enjoy! Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Many caregivers return every year. The event is free but please RSVP to Mary Immaculate by 10/24/17.
