AgeSpan serves 28 cities and towns throughout the Greater Haverhill, Greater Lawrence, Greater Lowell, and North Shore areas. Some of our programs serve populations beyond these regions, extending our reach across Massachusetts and New England.

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Data Report is designed to help residents, agencies, providers and governments understand the older adults who live in their cities and towns – their ages, living arrangements, health status, strengths and vulnerabilities.

Since 1974, AgeSpan has sought to understand and address the needs of adults over the age of 60 throughout the 28 communities we serve in the Merrimack Valley and the North Shore.
We offer a broad range of servicesto support healthy aging and advance health equity for all residents. AgeSpan plays a key role in providing low-income older adults with a range of needed supports including Meals on Wheels, Home Care Case Management, Elder Abuse Investigation (Protective Services), Caregiver support, SHINE Medicare Counseling, and more.
Across all programs, AgeSpan serves approximately 80,000 consumers each year. While much of our work is supported by state and federal grants, private philanthropy enables us to provide innovative initiatives, respond to identified gaps in services, and help older adults live healthier lives. We are an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and an Aging Services Access Point (ASAP). Click below to explore a breakdown of our regional service areas.

AgeSpan is one of 25 Massachusetts Aging Services Access Points (ASAP) and one of 21 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA).
