Low Income/Subsidized Rental Housing

Housing programs that make rental housing more readily available to homeless people and/or low-income individuals and families (those below 50% of the area’s median income). Some complexes or housing units may be reserved for low-income older adults, people with disabilities and/or other special populations.

  • AHEPA 39 Senior Apartments

    AHEPA 39 Apartments was built with a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and provides rental assistance to qualifying individuals through the HUD Section 202 program. There are 54 one-bedroom units, 6 of which are handicap accessible. There is a Service Coordinator on-site. AgeSpan provides supportive services to eligible elder residents.

The Groveland Housing Authority manages the location of River Pines housing. This site has 58 one-bedroom units; 6 are wheelchair accessible. This housing is for elders and for those with disabilities.

  • Tewksbury Housing Authority

    The Housing Authority provides state and federal affordable housing programs for elders, people with disabilities, and low-income families. The Authority manage the following sites: Saunders Circle (60 units) with 4 units being handicap accessible, Robert Flucker Heights on Delaney Terrace (50 units), and Carnation Drive (80 units).
