Low Income/Subsidized Rental Housing

Housing programs that make rental housing more readily available to homeless people and/or low-income individuals and families (those below 50% of the area’s median income). Some complexes or housing units may be reserved for low-income older adults, people with disabilities and/or other special populations.

  • Carriage Square Apartments

    Carriage Square offers one bedroom apartments for older adults and people with disabilities. Amenities include an elevator, appliances, 24-hour maintenance, on-site laundry, community room, and parking. Assistive animals are welcome.   • AHEPA 39 Senior Apartments

    AHEPA 39 Apartments was built with a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and provides rental assistance to qualifying individuals through the HUD Section 202 program. There are 54 one-bedroom units, 6 of which are handicap accessible. There is a Service Coordinator on-site. AgeSpan provides supportive services to eligible elder residents.

    This is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide housing and supportive services to low and moderate income seniors in the Greater Haverhill area.
