Senior Farmers’ Market Coupon Distribution is August 2

Make the most of the summer’s bounty with a free Senior Farmers’ Market Coupon Booklet. Local councils on aging will distribute the free coupon booklets, worth $50, to eligible older adults on Wednesday, August 2. 

The booklets are made available through the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture Resources and can be used to purchase fresh produce and honey at identified local farmers’ markets. 

Coupon booklets are limited to one per person and will be distributed at the councils on aging on a first-come, first-served basis in Lowell, Dracut, Lawrence, Methuen, Billerica, Haverhill, Newburyport, Andover, North Andover, Rowley, and Tyngsborough.   

Contact the COA directly for distribution times as some dates/times may vary. 

To be eligible for a coupon booklet, you must meet the following conditions:  

  1. You must be at least 60 years of age.  
  1. You must have an annual income at or below 185 percent of the Federal poverty level:  
  • Family Size: 1: $26,973 
  • Family Size 2: $36,482 
  • Family Size 3: $45,991  
  • Family Size 4: $55,500 
  • Family Size 5: $65,009 
  • Family Size 6: $74,518 

You will be required to sign a self-declaration that you meet income requirements and provide proof of residency. Participants will receive the booklet and list of locations where they can be used.
