Meals on Wheels

Our Meals on Wheels program delivers nutritious meals and fosters social connections for adults aged 60 and older, as well as individuals with disabilities, in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore. As part of the national Meals on Wheels network, we address hunger and isolation while promoting independence and overall well-being.

The Volunteer Meals on Wheels Driver transports prepared meals to homebound older adults and people with disabilities throughout the Merrimack Valley and North Shore. This volunteer position offers flexibility with no fixed morning or night shifts, and no requirement to work weekends. Drivers also receive a stipend. The role involves picking up meals at a central location and delivering them along a pre-determined route directly to the homes of older adults in your area. After completing the deliveries, you’ll return the packaging items and can get back to your regular day, knowing you’ve made a positive impact!

” I became involved with AgeSpan Meals on Wheels while I was between jobs and was looking for a volunteer opportunity that would give me meaningful weekly structure, a connection to the local community and opportunity to help people in need. I would highly recommend volunteering for AgeSpan’s Meals on Wheels program. It is a truly a fun and meaningful way to donate your time!”
