Specially trained professionals teach caregivers Habilitation Therapy that includes effective strategies that improve quality of life for them and the person with dementia. Coaches help caregivers sustain a positive relationship with the care patient, understand and accept behaviors seen in dementia, learn how to simplify tasks so the family member can participate more fully and safely in his own care and continue to find pleasure in family life, learn to speak in a new way that accommodates the language changes dementia brings, and develop easier ways to provide care.
