Road Scholar is the new name for the programs of Elderhostel. This is a not-for-profit organization that offers various educational traveling experiences across the United States and worldwide to adults age 55 years and older. These learning adventures are designed to be an introduction to a variety of subjects including history, culture, nature, music, and outdoor activities such as walking and biking. They do not require any formal knowledge or prior training in the fields they explore.
