Project Lifesaver
This is a search and rescue program designed for at risk individuals who are prone to wandering. It provides first responders and caregivers with technology and training to quickly locate and rescue individuals with cognitive disorders. People enrolled in the program wear a small personal transmitter around the wrist or ankle that emits an individualized tracking signal. If the person goes missing, the caregiver notifies their Project Lifesaver agency and a trained emergency team responds to the wanderer’s area. Many of the Project Lifesaver agencies are local police departments. LOJACK is a supplier for Project Lifesaver.”
