Parents Helping Parents (PHP), a child abuse prevention agency, facilitates support groups in various locations throughout the state. These groups are for anyone in a parenting role, including grandparents raising grandchildren. The meetings are co-led by parent members and a trained volunteer facilitator. They are held weekly and are a place where parents/guardians can share information and ideas, and offer support. There are groups in Northeast Massachusetts in Lowell, Lynn and Salem. Some groups provide free on-site childcare while adults attend the meetings.
