Northeast Legal Aid – Lowell
Northeast Legal Aid is a legal aid program which provides legal advice and representation in civil legal cases to low-income and elder residents of Essex County and parts of Middlesex County. Areas of service include: housing evictions and foreclosures, public benefits, consumer debt, family law (domestic violence in divorce and custody cases), health law, veterans legal needs, immigration matters and community development.
This organization coordinates a panel of private attorneys who donate legal services in uncontested divorces, simple wills, bankruptcy, and SSI/SSDI terminations (Pro Bono Private Attorney Involvement Project).
