Executive Office of Aging & Independence

The Massachusetss Executive Office of Elder Affairs is responsible for the administration and oversight of programs and services on behalf of the Commonwealth’s elders. It administers its community-based programs and services through a network of local Councils on Aging and nutrition projects, regional Aging Services Access Points, Area Agencies on Aging and with the assistance of numerous dedicated volunteers. Through its elder network it reaches out to those in need of services that include home care and caregiver support, nutrition programs, protective services, health and wellness services, housing options, health insurance counseling (SHINE Program) and counseling services for elders with limited English proficiency.
