Hospice is provided to any person with a severe illness and life expectancy of 6 months or less. Hospice serves the geriatric population and some consumers under 60 yrs old with disabilities. An interdisciplinary team is dedicated to meeting the needs of the patient and family. Care is provided wherever the patient calls home, including assisted living communities and long term care facilities.

Services offered by Brookhaven Hospice include: Skilled Nursing, Chaplains, Home Health Aides, Hospice Physicians, Bereavement Counselors and volunteer services. Hospice also provides medications related to comfort and the terminal diagnosis, as well as certain supplies and durable medical equipment.
