This chapter provides a number of services including the following: assisting within the food network and working with food distributors and community-based agencies; providing disaster assistance including food and shelter in emergencies; teaching lifesaving skills; supporting members of the armed services and restoring their family connections; and training nurses aides and certified nursing assistants.
