Programs that provide a temporary place to stay (usually three days to two weeks), generally in dormitory-style facilities with very little privacy, for people who have no permanent housing.

  • Merrimack House

    This is a shelter managed by Community Teamwork, Inc.(CTI). CTI assists families in locating affordable housing while providing a temporary, safe, and supportive environment for homeless families. Through advocacy and education, CTI assists families in becoming increasingly self-sufficient. This program offers educational, financial, legal, parenting and housing resources.

  • Lowell Transitional Living Center

    Lowell Transitional Living Center is a dry shelter with 60 beds for homeless men and 30 beds for homeless women in the Greater Lowell area. It offers case management, representative payee services, and assistance with locating local detoxification programs. Nursing and mental health services are available onsite.
