LGBTQIA+ Aging Project

This is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered elders have equal access to the life-prolonging benefits, protections, services and institutions that their heterosexual neighbors have. Its services and programs include education and technical assistance to mainstream providers; education and advocacy regarding administrative and legislative policies that impact the lives of LGBTQIA+ elders, their caregivers and friends; and social advocacy for LGBTQIA+ elders, their caregivers and friends to decrease isolation and increase the sense of community by informing them of available resources. This organization also co-sponsors meal programs at several locations. It is an affiliate of The Fenway Institute and is part of their research, education and policy division.
