The MBA offers a Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) which is a public service program dedicated to directing callers to the most appropriate resources including one of their attorney panel members, the state attorney general’s office, a legal service agency or their own Dial-a-Lawyer Program. Each caller is screened for income. If an individual meets income requirements, the MBA can refer him/her to a reduced-fee attorney or to resources that offer free legal help. On the first Wednesday of the month the public can call the Dial-a-Lawyer Program at 617-338-0610 between 5:30pm and 7:30pm with their legal problems and questions.
