The Council on Aging offers information and referral, congregate meals, wellness clinics, outreach, health insurance information (SHINE), exercise classes, recreational and social activities, educational programs, and a friendly visitor program. It has a wheelchair accessible van and provides transportation to local medical appointments within Lowell and to surrounding towns on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for a small fee. The van is also available weekdays for transportation to the Center for meals and for once/week food shopping. The COA also utilizes the services of volunteers in various capacities.
