SafetyNet Tracking Systems
SafetyNet is a LoJack-produced service that provides an extra mechanism to find people with cognitive disorders who may wander away from home. The bracelet constantly emits a radio frequency signal that can typically be detected within a range of approximately one mile in on-the-ground searches and 5-7 miles in searches by helicopter. The secure SafetyNet database contains information on each person enrolled in the program including the individual’s physical characteristics, personal habits and how he/she should be approached, addressed and comforted. LOJACK is a supplier for Project Lifesaver.
