Haverhill Council On Aging

The COA offers a variety of services including weekday lunch, income tax preparation, SHINE counseling, a friendly visitors program, a walking group, exercise class, wellness clinics, day and overnight trips and other social activities. Free cell phones for 911 access are available to eligible residents. The staff will also arrange rides to medical appointments through the Northern Essex Elder Transportation Program (NEET).

A community meal is held each Monday in the Citizens Center. This meal is free and open to the public. Meals are prepared by a local and chef and supported by various community organizations. Service begins at 4 PM. Meals are not served on holidays or days when schools have been cancelled due to inclement weather.
