AgeSpan is a private, non-profit agency which services seniors residing in the 28 cities/towns in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore area. It manages the State Home Care Program and is federally designated as the Area Agency on Aging. It provides information, resources and services including, but not limited to, care management, money management, respite care, homemaking, group adult foster care, personal care attendant program, consumer choice, community choices, housing options, family caregiver support, elder abuse/protective services, health benefits counseling, nursing home ombudsman program, options counseling, care transition coaching, medical advocates, and volunteer services. Any elder, friend or family member caring for an adult over 60 years of age is offered one-on-one professional assistance to help identify available options to reduce the stress for caregivers and to help the older adult remain safe and independent in their home and community.
