This Center offers English for Speakers of Other Languages classes; a pre-school program; computer classes; citizenship preparation classes; an outreach program for Cambodian and Vietnamese communities; and an Elders’ Program. The Elders’ Program (Cambodian, Vietnamese, Chinese communities) provides transportation and translation for social services and medical needs and offers social events and interaction to prevent isolation. The elders group meets monthly and has a nurse available to check blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc. This group shares a monthly meal and has the opportunity to socialize. Speakers are scheduled to present health topics and discuss services available to seniors. Elders also participate in field trips and celebrate both the Vietnamese and Cambodian New Years.
