Mitch’s Place

Emmaus Inc. provides temporary emergency shelter for individuals at Mitch’s Place. Its hours of operation are 5pm-7:30am. Dinner is served in the evening and a basic breakfast in the morning. An evening shower is required and towels and soap are supplied. Each guest is assigned a bed for the night. The building is wheelchair accessible. Staff advocates meet weekly to assist guests in setting goals of job search and housing search. If a guest is disabled without an income, he/she is assisted in applying for disability income. Those with incomes establish a savings goal with their advocate. Referrals are made for guests who need substance abuse counseling or treatment or for those with medical problems or those who need psychiatric counseling. Referrals are also made for those in need of employment training programs. Guests may use the Social Club in the building to assist with housing and job searches.
