From assistance with running errands to bringing meals to peoples’ homes to providing companionship for older adults, every volunteer opportunity makes a real difference to the people we serve—and to the volunteers who make it possible.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels drivers deliver nutritionally balanced meals to homebound older adults and adults with disabilities throughout the Merrimack Valley and North Shore.
Long-Term Care Ombudsman
Become a certified Ombudsman to assist residents living in assisted living, nursing and rest homes by working with program staff to advocate for the rights and needs of the residents.
Mobile Markets
Assist with the assembly and distribution of brown bags filled with free groceries for low-income individuals.
Money Management
Work with older adults to develop basic money management skills such as paying bills, budgeting, and writing checks.
Medicare Counseling
Become a certified SHINE Counselor to offer unbiased, confidential guidance to Medicare beneficiaries on their health insurance options, or volunteer with SMP to educate Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries, families, and caregivers on protecting against healthcare fraud, errors, and abuse.
Family Caregiver Support Program
Use lived experience to compassionately support fellow caregivers of older adults or grandchildren through flexible and personalized involvement, whether by listening, leading groups, helping at events, or problem solving in person or remotely.
